Ontario Legal iGaming Market Reaches $6.72 Billion in June 2026

The regulated iGaming sector in Ontario recorded a total wagering volume of $6.72 billion during June 2026. This figure represents a 30.3 percent increase compared to the same month last year.
Gross gaming revenue for the period rose 30.6 percent to $285.4 million. The province has now seen this metric exceed the $285 million threshold for six of the past eight months.
Segment Breakdown and Market Scale
The 2026 FIFA World Cup schedule coincided with increased activity in the sports wagering segment. Bookmakers processed $731.3 million in bets, marking a 34.5 percent year-over-year rise. Corresponding gross gaming revenue for sports betting reached $55.8 million, up 34.4 percent. Online casino platforms continue to account for the majority of provincial activity. Casino games generated $5.89 billion in total wagers and contributed $224.9 million to gross gaming revenue, representing 79 percent of the overall figure. The regulated market currently supports more than 1.3 million active player accounts across 48 licensed operators.
